You still have time.

You don't have to put everything on hold just yet.

We’re in it now – Holiday Season. You might be thinking the year is over. And that whatever is on your mind, you’re thinking, “It’s too late.”

But is that true? Maybe you can still get it done.

The biggest thing that might be stopping you: your belief that the year is over, that it’s too late.

This is a great time of year ... to check your list.

What if you thought: I still have time to check something stubborn off my list. People are in good moods, in giving mode, they’re spending money, they’re creating things. They might want to connect.

The holiday spirit might help you go after something differently, in a more fun way.

The perfect time.

Maybe your boss, or a peer, or that one team member that grates on your nerves — could you have one of those meaningful conversations over a Gingerbread latte? Could you offer an olive branch to someone and it would feel natural instead of awkward? Could you say thank you to someone who is normally difficult to thank?

Maybe it’s the perfect time to reach out to contacts with a holiday greeting — giving instead of asking. You could offer to help somehow. Maybe you can find time to create something that others would love. Maybe there are some people alone at Christmas that you could reach out to.

Maybe you want to rest. Maybe your resting means being outside in nature. Or at a movie. Or lost in the craft store.

You can still do all these things. You don’t have to wait until 2020.

Old Thought/New Thought

Old Thought

Thought: I don’t have time

Feeling: Rushed, defeated, disappointed

Action: Scattered, Jumping from one thing to another, giving up, not giving your best effort, procrastination

Result: Less connection, things still on your list,

New Thought

New Thought: I still have time

Feeling: Curious, Excited, Expansive

Action: Creative, Spontaneous, Fun

Result: More Connection, Checking items off your list
