Let it be.
Take a break.
After all the planning, pushing, desiring, wanting, acting, there comes a time to just let it all be.
Take a break. From yourself.
Give yourself a day of rest, or a day of filling yourself up. Or an hour. Or a week. What feels right to you?
Go into receive mode.
So much of the time we’re on “send” mode. Our minds are working like crazy to figure ou the next thing. We’re scanning for signs, looking for the next best workshop, practicing our mind tools.
When I go out into a field with horses, I try to be like a horse. What I notice with them is that they are relaxed but open. The way they relax is by tuning in to sounds, sights, smells. And then they relax and just be who they are.
When I slip into receive mode, the horses will suddenly stop what they’re doing and notice me. It’s like I’ve dropped into their channel, and they say, “Hey, there you are. Welcome.”
The Beauty Way.
A simple way to do it is to listen to everything around you. Be like a horse. To do this, here’s a practice I use. I love to use it in the fields or on my walks, but you can do it anywhere. It’s kind of like a meditation. You slowly say the words and notice. Repeat as often as you like.
Beauty in front of me.
Beauty behind me.
Beauty to my right.
Beauty to my left.
Beauty above me.
Beauty below me.
Beauty within me.
Really notice what’s beautiful. You’ll find anywhere can be beautiful. On walks I’ve noticed trees I’ve never seen before, yet walked by hundreds of times. I’ve sat in ugly waiting rooms and found beauty and peace. I’ve been down and out and found beauty all around me and even within me by do this.
There are beautiful, more extended versions of this: “Walk in Beauty” from the Navajo people. I invite you to google it.
Let it be.
There will be an answer. Let it be.
