You deserve a mini-vacation. Right now.
Ahhhhhh.
Even though it’s September, take a moment to imagine that you have just been offered a two-week all-expense paid vacation to the destiny of your dreams.
This vacation is 100% approved by your boss. All your work will be handled by an expert while you’re away. It won’t be waiting for you when you get back. You won’t get any messages or emails or meeting requests while you’re away.
Your family may or may not be going with you. You get to decide. Either way they’re absolutely thrilled for you.
The Universe agrees there will be no emergencies, catastrophies, drama. There are no worries.
Off you go.
Close your eyes. Imagine this vacation.
Imagine arriving and everything going smoothly. It has all been taken care of in exactly the way you like. Money is not an issue.
How would you wake up each morning? Do you hear the honks of horns in a busy city? Do you hear the rustling of trees in a quiet, remote cabin? do you hear water lapping against the shore?
What would you do?
What do you see, hear, smell?
What food would you eat? What would you drink? Would you eat alone or with others? Would you eat at a table with linen napkins or on a beach or mountain top? Would you be alone, with other humans, with animals?
Would you be in a learning pod, on a zip line, or on a beach sipping a yummy drink? Or all three?
It’s all perfect for you right now.
Do you feel better?
How are you feeling? What’s happening in your body? What’s happening in your mind?
Really enjoy it.
The power of your imagination.
If you open your eyes, what has changed around you? Likely nothing. Yet, you felt amazing!
You focused your energy on something wonderful and changed how you feel. That’s how powerful your mind and your imagination are.
You can make yourself feel better.
You’ve just proved to yourself that you can use your imagination to feel better. If you can do it with a vacation, you can do it with other things as well.
What about your life and your work? You can start with your imagination. You can immediately make yourself feel better.
You can create the feelings you want to feel. You can start with a vague sketch, create a beacon up ahead.
A new way of seeing.
Often we think we need to change everything to be happy. Perhaps what you need is a new way of thinking, a new way of processing what’s going on, a new way to begin.
That’s what I do as a coach. I help you look at the same situation in a different way, so you can decide what you want, get unstuck and figure out how to move forward
You deserve more. More meaning. More fulfillment. More good feelings.
