One evening, during my corporate career, I walked out of my office, head down, presumably on the way to the printer. As I rounded a corner, I lifted my gaze, and for some reason, in that moment, I felt jolted by the sea of empty cubicles that stretched out before me. Perhaps the quiet hit me differently. Or, maybe the relentless glare of the fluorescent lights made the scene especially surreal that night.<\/p>

I don’t know exactly what it was, but something stopped me in my tracks. Is this my life? Is this what I’m here for? What am I doing? Why am I here late (again) and everyone else is at home? I’d felt this way before, and something else felt familiar too – helplessness, uncertainty, fear.\u00a0<\/p>

I wasn’t exactly trapped, but I felt trapped. In many ways, it wasn’t a bad gig – good work, a good team, money, benefits. I felt grateful and full of angst at the same time.<\/p>

To be honest, I’d felt like this, off and on, for years. It buzzed in the background. I mostly ignored it because it created a lot of fear within me.<\/p>

The thing is … I didn’t know what to do back then. Now, I do.\u00a0<\/p>

I help my clients navigate career transitions to more meaningful work. I help them get unstuck and move forward with confidence, courage, and clarity.\u00a0<\/p>

I believe that we’re all unique and the time of one-size-fits-all is over. We’ve been funneled into cookie-cutter careers that treat us like machines. We’re not machines, so no wonder we’re depressed, anxious, and burned out.<\/p>

I also believe that the more we become ourselves, the more likely we are to find our place in the world, with the people we’re meant to be with, doing the work we feel called to do.<\/p>

My approach is to meet you where you are in your journey. That’s because most of my clients have been on a journey to fulfilling work, and feel like they’ve tried everything, but are still stuck. A lot of the time, there’s a missing puzzle piece and they get going again. Often, as we women do, we haven’t included ourselves in our journey. We’ve forgotten who we truly are. We take some time to understand what’s getting in the way of you getting what you want.<\/p>

From a practical perspective, I’m trained as a Life Coach and so have many tools in my tool belt to help you get where you want to go, even if you’re not into the magical tools described in this post. But, the reason I use these magical is because they have been so helpful to me and to my clients. They can be short-cuts to insights. They slice through the bs and get to the heart of the matter.<\/p>
